I've had a play day after all

Hello and a happy Monday to you. It is the Queens birthday holiday here today so I've had a lovely relaxing day packing and playing in the craft room. You see I decided to make a little card for my great nephew who turned 7 on Saturday. I am a terrible Auntie, great Auntie and even sister, daughter and  friend,  as I rarely make cards for anyone important - I am usually too busy making cards to sell. I know , I know it is awful of me and I do vow most days to change my ways - but I have a reputation of being very slack and I wonder if it will change - one day maybe hehehehe
So here is the card I made

I have wanted to make a card like this for ages - using kaiser craft  k-bots paper. I have mounted the robot that I cut out on a couple of spellbinder layers then decorated with some handmade paper buttons and a Tim Holtz small rosette die.  I then added the number seven and Jared's name - I know my boys love it when I put their name on their cards - it makes it more personal.

This is the inside view. I have decided that I need to buy some cog or gear stamps and die's as I think they would of finished this card off nicer. I have distressed the white inside writing card and the aqua backing paper with some odd swirly, line and dotty stamps that were lurking in my stash - but I think cog stamps would of looked better. All of the button have been mounted with magic mount to make them stand out a bit from the card.

Ok well thats it for now and maybe a week or so
so be good

Not much playing happening

Hello and a huge happy Sunday to you all
I am very sorry that I have not been around for a few days. Despite the fact I am on term break from Uni - I have been kept out of mischief and busy. I had planned on spending most of last week playing happily amongst my treasured crafty stuff - but the Universe had other ideas and kept me doing other things - I felt like the last week just disappeared into nowhere.

Tuesday I spent the day with my lovely papercrafting buddies having a fun day relaxing and crafting  before I go away this next week - I had such a lovely day!!!!! Then Wednesday I had a lovely little 4 year old's birthday party to attend - which I also thoroughly enjoyed. Happy Birthday Jada!!!!!! Her clever Mum decorated all the party goodies with strawberries - I was very impressed - sooooo cute!!! And just as I have written that I remembered that I forgot to take a photo of Jada's card that I made - silly me!!!!!!

Then Friday I had to drive over to Barcaldine (100kms away) and back, because our local chemist didn't have my medication in stock and I needed it, so off I went. Travelling in the car and I aren't all that happy with each other at the moment - so I ended up in a bit of pain after that - it has taken me a couple of days to get over it.

So today I have a couple of things to share with you, firstly a couple of cards that I have made. The first is a blue version of the bubbles card I made (from my last post)

Once again I masked out the dandy lions from the stamped image and changed them to bubbles. Added a strip cut out using my new tonic punches and a layered bow.
 The inside view.
This is another of the Thank you cards that I made last week using Kaiser craft stamps called hummingbird and some beautiful paper also from Kaiser - finished off with a stamping up sentiment and some pearl bling. I have layered the smaller bird house as well but I don't think you can see that very well in this photo.
 The inside view.
Another Thank you card using Stampin' up stamp, top note die, sentiment and punch finished with some Kaiser paper and some grossgrain ribbon.
And once again the inside view - I love this Kaiser paper it is the back of the Bonjour collection  Moriesse - sooooo pretty!!!!!!
And finally something other than cards for a change - I sat and enjoyed some time in the sunshine yesterday with my puppy Sebastian - how cute is he!!!!!
And madame Sabrina just couldn't bear me sitting giving all of my attention to Sebastian so she came and joined us as well
And then just some shots of the garden again - it was such a beautiful day yesterday
This is our little log cabin and rockery - still needs more work but it's getting there.

Ok well I am not sure that I am going to get time to blog again before I head off for my round three of surgery this week. I would like to say that I am going to spend the next two days in the craft room but I don't think that is gunna happen. I am going to take the computer with me so maybe I can hop on and say hi in the lead up to Friday. I have to undertake a pretty yukky preparation and no eating on Thurs so I am not looking forward to any of it. Hubby is flying down to be with me this time as it is a little more serious - he gets to Brissy on Friday, so by the time he gets there I should be out of surgery. Ohhhhh the joys of it all - but by this time next year I should be running around full of life again - I hope!!!!!!!!

Ok well have a great day

Bubbles

Hello and a super happy Sunday to you all. I hope you are all well. I am still having lots of fun playing in my craft room seeing as I am on holidays from Uni. I have made a couple of cards but I wanted to show you this one. I have had a little play with one of my stamps.

You see I found this paper at my local newsagent and I just had to have it - it is soooo nice and I thought that it looked like bubbles

What do you think?
So I thought that it would be nice to make a card with a little girl blowing bubbles with it - but I don't have a stamp like that. Soooooo I spent several hours scrolling through the www to see if I could find a digi stamp, but no go. Who would of thought it was so hard to find a cute digi stamp with a  little girl blowing bubbles. Anyway in the middle of the night I came up with this idea - I knew my little cutie from Lili of the Valley, looked like she was blowing bubbles even though she is actually blowing dandy lions - soooooo I masked out the dandy lions and popped on some bubbles for her. It kinda came out ok - just a few little uneven lines where I drew the bubbles but I think it looks ok. I hope I am allowed to do that - I have seen others doing it on cards before.

This is the finished card that I made:
It was really funny cause I was trying to find embellishments to match and was looking through all my stuff and found this ribbon that matches the paper perfectly, I just mounted it on a strip of silver paper that had the edges punched with my fiskars punch. I made some silver flowers with my sizzix no 9 flower and some bling centres. Then added my Cherry Lynn flourish, with a few extra flourishes and finished with some bling and kindy glitz.

This is the inside view - just some punched silver paper with some of the pretty pink bubbly paper and some bling here.
I am going to enter it into Lili's Little Fairies challenge which is Anything goes, as I haven't played along with them for ages.

Ok well I hope you have a great day
