Hello and a happy Monday to you. It is the Queens birthday holiday here today so I've had a lovely relaxing day packing and playing in the craft room. You see I decided to make a little card for my great nephew who turned 7 on Saturday. I am a terrible Auntie, great Auntie and even sister, daughter and friend, as I rarely make cards for anyone important - I am usually too busy making cards to sell. I know , I know it is awful of me and I do vow most days to change my ways - but I have a reputation of being very slack and I wonder if it will change - one day maybe hehehehe
So here is the card I made
I have wanted to make a card like this for ages - using kaiser craft k-bots paper. I have mounted the robot that I cut out on a couple of spellbinder layers then decorated with some handmade paper buttons and a Tim Holtz small rosette die. I then added the number seven and Jared's name - I know my boys love it when I put their name on their cards - it makes it more personal.
This is the inside view. I have decided that I need to buy some cog or gear stamps and die's as I think they would of finished this card off nicer. I have distressed the white inside writing card and the aqua backing paper with some odd swirly, line and dotty stamps that were lurking in my stash - but I think cog stamps would of looked better. All of the button have been mounted with magic mount to make them stand out a bit from the card.
Ok well thats it for now and maybe a week or so
so be good
talk soon
